Dental implants

Throughout the toothless jawbone areas, we surgically implant titanium posts. In essence, these titanium posts are meant to protect your face structure if your teeth fall out or if they are removed for whatever reason. It not only achieves that, but it also protects your jawbone from degradation. It provides this protection to your natural teeth, protecting them from being damaged.

By attaching your new prosthetic teeth to the implanted titanium posts, you can get back your bright confident smile once again. Aside from restoring your ability to eat and appreciate foods, a dental implant preserves your jawline, provides a great smile, and allows you to do all you would normally do with your natural teeth. If you require bone grafting prior to the implant, our experienced oral surgeons will take care of that as well.

Drs. Fried and Levine work with every patient individually to determine the right implant type and restore normal oral cavity function. They also offer several different implants to meet various needs and can advise on which dental implant is right for you.

Wisdom Teeth Removal

Adults typically have 16 teeth in both the lower and upper arches of their mouth. Our dental surgeons carefully label each tooth to aid with identification.

The earliest teeth include canines, bicuspids, and incisors. These teeth cover everything from grasping to biting. The molars, which are positioned in the rear of the mouth,  are primary in charge of grinding and chewing food. Molars break food down into tiny bits, making it easier to swallow and digest.

Did you know that the average mouth only has 28 teeth, less than the 32 you think? This is because the last four teeth, known as wisdom teeth, are the last to develop. The third molar teeth in the rear of the arches are not needed for chewing foods or any other oral functions.

Sedation Dentistry

Our goal is to make you as comfortable as possible during your dental treatment. To make sure you are completely relaxed during dental treatments, we offer sedation dentistry. Patients often request anesthesia for procedures such as wisdom teeth extractions, TMJ treatment, and dental implants. Sedation can be used even for minor dental procedures in cases where dental anxiety is present.

Drs. Fried and Levine are fully licensed and trained to administer sedation and general anesthesia. The surgical assistants in our offices are trained and licensed to assist in surgery, monitor patients, and aid in recovery. Safety is a priority in every aspect of our practice.
